Known in the dream, lost in the morning!
Last night I walked through borrowed time,
where past and present gently intertwined,
familiar faces from long ago
gathered in a place unknown,
filling the air with laughter like a summer breeze
Though surrounded, a presence felt close,
both new and old
His hands were always around my shoulder,
not quite love, not quite dismay
something deep, a hush of comfort I could hear
His face would blur, then shift again,
not flesh, not name, but a form of feeling,
a feeling that lingers past the night,
that fills the chest with softened light,
He never left, never spoke,
but every gaze made him real
My friends saw and smiled wide,
as if they had met my gentle guide
The knew as I began to see,
He was a part, not apart from me.
where past and present gently intertwined,
familiar faces from long ago
gathered in a place unknown,
filling the air with laughter like a summer breeze
Though surrounded, a presence felt close,
both new and old
His hands were always around my shoulder,
not quite love, not quite dismay
something deep, a hush of comfort I could hear
His face would blur, then shift again,
not flesh, not name, but a form of feeling,
a feeling that lingers past the night,
that fills the chest with softened light,
He never left, never spoke,
but every gaze made him real
My friends saw and smiled wide,
as if they had met my gentle guide
The knew as I began to see,
He was a part, not apart from me.
